A book on "Delft" for lovers of earthenware

Knowledge of Delft earthenware has increased considerably, fueled by archaeological excavations, extensive research in the archives and comparative analyzes. The first major collections were formed at the end of the 19th century, in full revival of the Arts applied to industry. From 1620 to 1710, around twenty factories installed in the city of Delft profoundly renewed Dutch earthenware art thanks to technical excellence, the ingenuity of the forms and the diversity of creations. Curators, scientists, experts, merchants, but also collectors and simple amateurs deliver the secrets of Delft earthenware to a very beautiful book published by the Réunion des Musées Nationaux.
