Space-saving extra beds for small spaces

Space-saving extra beds for small spaces

From the passing family, a friend of your child or even one who better not get back on the road, there are many good occasions to invite someone to stay overnight. However, the guest bedroom is not required under all roofs! So to be able to welcome your guests decently, even if you have a small space and a small budget, the extra bed is made for you! In this area we can distinguish two main categories: foldable beds and inflatable mattresses. Regarding foldable beds, most only accommodate one person. The structure is generally made of steel and weighs less than 20 kilos. A polyurethane foam mattress is most often laid on wooden slats which constitute the box spring. The foldable bed folds in half and has castors for ease of transport and storage. The dimensions of a bed for one person are generally around 90x190 cm, the box spring having a thickness of about 10cm. Most foldable beds (for one person) do not exceed 100 euros (on average 60 euros at major brands). Inflatable mattresses have the advantage of being light and easy to store . Some of them are modernized for more convenience thanks to an electric inflation system. No more need to blast for hours, just plug in the mattress and in 2 minutes it's ready! (electrical deflation is also ensured). Others traditionally inflate with the air pump. These mattresses are available for one or two people. On the one thickness of 20 to 40 cm on average , they provide much better comfort than the old inflatable mattresses that were used interchangeably for sleeping or beach vacations! The aesthetics of these mattresses are not put aside because different colours are developed as well as soft and velvety touches . On the price side, most of these inflatable mattresses are found at less than 100 euros , for models suitable for one person.
