Chiottissime: the toilets of the world are exposed

In the house, the "little corner" is more important than we think! Moreover, the interdepartmental syndicate of the Paris agglomeration (SIAAP) has decided to dedicate an exhibition to celebrate its 40 years. Chiottissime! This is the rather surprising name given to the photo exhibition which is held from September 9 to October 20 in the open air, boulevard de la Bastille in the 12th arrondissement of Paris. The idea: a world tour of toilets through 46 photos taken in 33 countries. We discover toilets in the desert, at the North Pole, or in Hong Kong and even hanging models and urinals. And to top it all, the photos are taken by famous names in photography like Robert Doisneau or Willy Ronis. The toilets are also a reflection of our society and show the differences that may exist between countries. Through the photos, we discover that toilets are in turn an art object or D system but that they remain an element that unites our societies. And you, how are your toilets? Will you go to see the exhibition? Post your comments and reactions on this page.
